(1) More of Thy love, my God, I findIn every hour I live; More of Thy peace, in heart and mind, Doth each sharp trial give. |
(2) Up to my Father's high decreeEach act in time I trace; Up to the glorious Sovereign Three — Almighty Fount of Grace! |
(3) The Man who lived and died, and roseTo perfume heaven with blood; To Him my soul her pardon owes, And claims Him for her God. |
(4) There high He reigns in ether bright,The great Incarnate Word, While suns to darkness dwindle quite Before their radiant Lord. |
(5) Thence low He stoops to watch the lotOf souls to Him once given; And makes the dying sinner's cot The glorious gate of heaven. |
(6) And Thou, Eternal Spirit vast —What love can Thine transcend? Since Thou Thy lot with me hath cast, Indwelling God and Friend. |
